PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide have several free and paid suicide prevention training courses coming up over the coming months. If you’d like to book onto a session, please follow the links below. All sessions are suitable for ages 16+ and are CPD-accredited, so please share with your colleagues and any families/individuals you work with who may find these courses helpful.
- We have been awarded funding by Sir James Knott Trust, providing free suicide prevention training for anyone living, volunteering or working across North Tyneside. The aim is to equip participants with skills to identify signs of suicide, intervene effectively, and reduce stigma around mental health and suicide. - Across the North East, we have been contracted by the NENC NHS Integrated Care Board to offer free suicide prevention training to anyone based in North East England who works for the NHS, GPs, nurses, pharmacists, police, ambulance, fire & rescue and other first responders. - PAPYRUS are also hosting a 2-day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training course at Felling Community Centre on 25-26th March 2026. This is open to anybody who lives or works across Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Tees Valley. ASIST is an internationally recognised suicide first aid course covering the Pathway to Assisted Living suicide intervention model, applicable to many different situations involving suicide and empowering attendees to support those at risk to create safety for now. Places are £200pp and anybody who works in education that completes ASIST is eligible for PAPYRUS’ free schools/college PSHE resource license, Sinking Feeling.
