Stronger Together: Recapping our South West CANN Networking Evening

Stronger Together: Recapping our South West CANN Networking Evening

There is something truly special about getting a room full of passionate people together to talk about how we can better support families.

Last night, we hosted a South West CANN (Children with Additional Needs Network) get-together. While we were all so busy chatting and connecting that we completely forgot to take any photos (a sign of a truly great night!), the energy in the room was fantastic.

A Night of Connection and Nibbles

The evening was a relaxed affair, filled with good food and even better conversation. It was a chance for us to step away from our screens and meet the faces behind the incredible charities that make up our network.

What We Covered:

  • The CANN Vision: Chereka had the pleasure of delivering a presentation on the CANN Network—discussing our goals for the year and how we can continue to bridge the gaps for families with additional needs.
  • Charity Spotlights: Every attendee took a turn to share the vital work their specific charity is doing. It was a powerful reminder of the diverse range of support available in our region.
  • Collaboration over Competition: The highlight of the night was the networking. We spent time discussing how we can work more closely together, share resources, and ensure no family in our network feels they have to navigate their journey alone.

Looking Ahead

Events like these remind us why the CANN Network exists. By sharing our expertise and supporting one another, we create a stronger safety net for our community.

We are already looking forward to the next one—and we promise to remember the camera next time!
