Enjoy dedicated quiet time for anyone to access and enjoy the science centre, including autistic people and those with other sensory needs.
Explore the science centre with fewer visitors and less noise, and enjoy relaxed performances in our Planetarium and Science Theatre. Find out what’s on during your visit.
Lighting and sound levels will be altered where possible, to accommodate those with sensory needs. For example, hand-dryers in toilets will be turned off for the duration of the session.
Relaxed Sunday Sessions run from 10.00am – 12.00pm. You are welcome to stay after this time if you wish, but please note that our traditional programme, lighting and sound levels will gradually resume from 12.00pm.

❄️ Wander through twinkling lights, gentle snow‑glow and cosy Christmas scenes as you make your way to Santa’s warm, welcoming cabin. Inside, the big man in red is ready with smiles, stories and time for every family, creating moments that feel truly magical.
🎅 Whether your child prefers to explore, move around, sit on the floor, or take things slowly, our grotto is built for comfort, calm and Christmas excitement all at once. It’s a space where imaginations shine and memories are made.

The Toby Henderson Trust is launching a new monthly parent group hosted by Speech and Language Therapist, Emily. This supportive session is focused on children and young people who are diagnosed autistic, or potentially autistic, and experience Selective Mutism (also known as Situational Mutism).
It’s a welcoming space to learn more about Selective Mutism, share practical strategies, and connect with families who truly understand the journey.

Join the gang for a festive panto packed with singing, silliness and plenty of audience participation at Harraton District Community Centre. Expect big laughs, catchy tunes and the familiar story of Pinocchio with puppets and more.
🎭 Event Overview
On Monday 21st December, the community centre transforms into a spectacle of colour and music. Doors open at 1:45pm, giving families time to settle in, explore the space and get comfortable before the fun begins. The show starts at 2:00pm prompt.

This is a relaxed performance, created so every child can enjoy the show in the way that feels right for them. Children are welcome to:

What is Chit & Chat?
A relaxed, informal online social meet for an hour once a fortnight. Come and connect with like-minded young people in a friendly, supportive, and safe space – all from the comfort of your own home. Whether you’re chatting away or just listening in, everyone’s welcome.
When?
Fortnightly on Wednesdays, from 5:00–6:00pm GMT
Our cricket sessions are for young people aged 11+.
We have 10 places available for each session, at the moment we have no support staff available so parents and carers will need to stay with their young person.
The sessions are being coached by a qualified Yorkshire Cricket Board coach.
