Description:

This ‘in person’ workshop is designed to help parents and carers begin their journey into a better understanding of autism. Delivered by Fiona and Lynda, the session aims to help you feel more confident in supporting and understanding your child by covering key areas and dispelling common everyday myths.

The workshop has been co-produced by staff with support from the ‘A Team’ (Autistic Advisory board) and the children, young people, and adults the Trust works with.

Important Information:

  • Eligibility: Open to families living in South Tyneside with autistic children/young people up to age 18.

  • Diagnosis: Your child does NOT have to have a formal diagnosis for you to access this service.

  • Certification: A certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants.

  • Format: This is an ‘in person’ event, preferred by families who find online webinars less personal.
