Feeling worried about your child’s attendance, anxiety around school, or recent exclusions? You’re not alone.
Come for a cuppa, a chat, and practical guidance from people who understand.

What to expect
  • Friendly, no‑judgement space. Meet other parent carers and Leeds Parent Carer Forum volunteers.

  • Practical advice & next steps. Talk through challenges like school anxiety, reduced timetables, exclusions, medical needs, or being out of school – and leave with clear options.

  • Ask the experts. Team members from Leeds Learning Access Service will be on hand. They work with families, schools and local services to help children and young people access the right education and the best possible learning experience in Leeds.

    Their service includes:

  • School Attendance Team (SAT)
  • Children Missing Education (CME)
  • Elective Home Education (EHE)
  • Exclusions Monitoring & Support
  • Pupil Tuition Team (PTT)
  • Medical Needs Teaching (MNTS)
Who it’s for
If your child or young person has anxiety about school, is on a part‑time timetable, is out of school, has been excluded, has medical needs affecting attendance, or you’re home‑educating and unsure about your options – this is for you.
