The Parent Carer service at Carers Leeds offers support to anyone caring for a child, up to the age of 19, with a disability, additional needs, or a long-term illness. We offer information, advice and signposting, as well as emotional support. We can offer emotional support either on a one-to-one basis, or through our monthly support groups. We can also help with applying for benefits, form filling, advocacy, and supporting families through other processes such as EHCPs or Early Help Plans.
We can take referrals from professionals but people are also welcome to self-refer for our service.
