Reflecting on a Productive South West CANN Termly Meeting

Reflecting on a Productive South West CANN Termly Meeting

Last week, members of the South West CANN network came together online for our latest termly meeting. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, share valuable cost-saving resources, and begin shaping an exciting community event for later this year.

Here is a look at what we covered during our time together.

Maximising Savings and Support

A huge thank you to Sarah, who delivered a brilliant and incredibly timely presentation focusing on discounts and offers available for families of children with additional needs across the South West.

The presentation sparked a wonderful, lively discussion across the whole virtual room. It was fantastic to see so many attendees proactively jumping in to share the specific offers, perks, and concessions they know about through their own charities and networks. Sharing this kind of practical, peer-to-peer knowledge is exactly what CANN is all about.

Co-producing Our Autumn Local Offer Event

With the energy from our networking session high, we moved into a collaborative workshop space to plan our upcoming Local Offer Event, which will be held this Autumn.

Together, we explored:

  • Potential accessible venues across the region
  • Interactive stalls and partner organisations to invite
  • Key target audiences and suitable dates

To make sure everyone has a say in how this event takes shape, we will shortly be sending out a poll to all network charities. This will allow everyone to vote on their preferred dates and venue options, so please keep an eye out for that link coming to your inbox soon!

Looking Forward

Whether you were one of the attendees who joined us on the day or you missed this session, we want to say a massive thank you for being a part of this growing network. Your insights are what make these events so valuable.

If you have any questions about the upcoming poll, or if you need any support accessing our future online Microsoft Teams sessions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

See you at the next one!
