What a brilliant opportunity to spread the word about SYCANN at a truly fantastic event organised by SHASBAH Together! It was lovely to spend time connecting with other charities, parents, and carers — all united by the shared goal of improving access to information, support, and training across South Yorkshire.
The day had a little bit of everything… including an unexpected interview with former BBC Radio Sheffield presenter Andy Kershaw (proof that it’s always worth being on your best behaviour at these events!).
And then there was SHASBAH’s Got Skills — an absolute highlight. The children completely stole the show with incredible performances in comedy, dance, and music. There were laughs, there were moves, there were moments that deserved standing ovations… honestly, the only thing missing was a golden buzzer!
A warm, inspiring, and thoroughly enjoyable event from start to finish.
