We had a brilliant time at our latest South Yorkshire CANN (SYCANN) quarterly meeting held on Tuesday 24th March 2026. There was such a great vibe in the room as members from across the network came together to share insights and support one another.
A Huge Thank You to Our Hosts
A massive thank you to Irwin Mitchell for hosting us at their Sheffield offices. Their hospitality at Riverside East House provided the perfect environment for our discussions and networking.
Insightful Presentations
We were lucky enough to be joined by two fantastic guest speakers who shared invaluable information for our network:
- Karen Hoe (Disability and Inclusion Consultant): Karen delivered an essential presentation on the Housing Adaptations Guide, providing clarity on creating accessible living spaces.
- Charlotte Brown (Sheffield City Council): Charlotte updated the group on The Sheffield Directory and the Early Help Partnership Training offer, highlighting key resources available to families and professionals in our region.
Meeting Highlights
The session wasn’t just about learning; it was about connecting. Our agenda also covered:
- Introductions: Meeting new faces and catching up with long-standing members.
- Matters Arising: Reviewing our previous progress to ensure we stay on track with our goals.
- Networking: Dedicated time for our charities and partners to collaborate and share their latest news.
Save the Date!
If you couldn’t make it to this one, we would love to see you at our upcoming sessions later this year:
- 30th June 2026
- 24th November 2026
Both meetings will run from 10am to 12pm and will be held at Irwin Mitchell’s offices in Sheffield.
